After a much deserved break, Kish is back from some fun in the sun and she’s looking like a baked potato. I have successfully survived a holiday in the coast without any sunburns, but my face is darker and more tan. I know I can always rely on turmeric for this kind of skin problem and as always lady yellow didn’t let me down.
This turmeric facemask for skin tan is perfect for anyone who has just got back from a beach holiday or a hotter and sunnier destination than usual. It’s guaranteed to restore you to your glow in a few weeks’ time with continual use. I am using it twice a week and already noticing results. If my skin doesn’t yet look like it did before the holiday break, then it’s definitely softer and more lifted.
To prepare this turmeric facemask you will need the following;
-1 tsp. turmeric powder
-2 tsp. coconut water
-1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
Combine the 3 ingredients in a bowl and stir until the mixture is uniform. Prepare your face by steaming it with hot water or use warm water to wipe your face using a cloth. Use cotton wool to apply the mixture onto your face. Be slow and gentle. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash the mask off using cold water.
This facemask is very easy to make. I whipped it up in no more than 5 minutes. It felt very rough on my face during application so I made sure to use gentle pats. After washing it off my skin looked super soft and was also glowing. My face also looked bright and shiny. The change was highly visible. I also had this big ass pimple beside my mouth which is now fading and is smaller in size.
My skin felt stripped of some sort of heavy layer. It felt like it weighed less and was breathing better. I used Tropical Heat Turmeric Powder which retails at around Ksh60 and Pietro Coricelli Extra Virgin Olive Oil which goes for Ksh440. Both from Tuskys.
Beauty Benefits Of Ingredients Used
Turmeric’s exfoliating power got my skin looking ready for the day. Ya’ll know how much I can’t get over Turmeric’s healing, anti-aging, anti-septic & anti-inflammatory properties. This golden spice is a great aid in skin care and I won’t stop using it any time soon.
Coconut water has tons of benefit for your skin, body and hair. It’s rich in antioxidants which slow down aging. It can delay wrinkles and keeps skin looking youthful. It’s said that if you use coconut water in your daily routine you are sure to enjoy beautiful skin. It’s also a great whitening agent, clears acne and is a great moisturizer.
I used olive oil for a little extra moisture to replenish the lost quantity from being roasted by the sun.
