Detox tea or ‘teatox’ is literally a miracle in a cup- your body’s liquid helper. To keep your skin looking fresh and your body organs running smoothly, you need to invest in a good detox regimen. How To Make Detox Tea

-1 tsp Cloves

-2 tsp Cumin seeds

-1 tsp Black pepper cones

-4 Cinnamon sticks

-2 tsp Rosemary leaves

-2 Thin lemon slices

How To Make Detox Tea Preparation

Boil a litre of water (or less depending on your needs) and add the ingredients while its hot. Stir the water then leave it to boil for 5-10 minutes. Leave the spices to infuse for another 5-10 minutes so that they can get incorporated into the tea. Strain the spices and enjoy at room temperature.

Sip the tea all day long or carry to work in a flask.

Health Benefits of Detox Tea Ingredients

Black pepper: it’s mostly referred to as the King of spices. One of its active ingredients known as piperine is known to have amazing health benefits like improved nutrient absorption, anti-cancer properties and cardiovascular protection. Black pepper also has anti-bacterial properties and is a sure remedy against colds and coughs.

It has the ability to increase heat throughout your body therefore aiding metabolic function. Cumin seeds boost the production of digestive enzymes which help the liver in eliminating toxins. -You’re going to need time for the taste to grow on you because I might have exaggerated my analogy about cake at the start of this post.

-If you have surplus detox tea, rejoice for this means you can have a cup daily all week long. Your skin and liver thank you.

-I bought some of the ingredients as a whole (Mixed Spices which is usually ground for pilau) for 60 Ksh only.

The results of an overburdened liver can be brain dysfunction, cirrhosis, hormonal imbalances and an increased risk to cancer. Pair this detox tea with other healthy lifestyle practices e.g. exercise, healthy diet, etc. and you’re sure to see a change in your skin as well as body functions.
