Many of us consider our lips as our best feature. Ladies, nobody’s going to blame you for layering that gorgeous lippie on your face, but how often do you exfoliate your lips? Fellas, there isn’t any shame in adding a little moisture to your lips and I’m sure all the ladies will agree with me that we don’t mind that extra softness on you. An easy to make DIY olive oil lip scrub will ensure your lips are moisturized, soft, don’t peel and look as luscious as ever. You may be just a few steps away from lips to die for, so let’s not waste any more time.
For this olive oil lip scrub, you will need;
-1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
-1 tsp. sugar (brown sugar is preferred)
-Juice of half a lemon
Pour your sugar into a bowl and add your tablespoon of olive oil. Start mixing the ingredients and add in the lemon juice as well. Wet your toothbrush with warm water and move the bristles in circular motions as if you’re brushing them. Continue doing this for about a minute.
Massage the scrub on your lips gently and leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Wipe it off using a wet warm towel and voila! Your lips should look and feel soft and gentle.
This lip scrub is extremely easy to make. It took me less than 5 minutes to make it, which is surprising considering the great effect it produces. After wiping off the scrub, my lips felt and looked tender and soft. However, the scrub dried out my lips. I had to moisturize them with olive oil after. I blame lemon juice for the dryness.
