It’s November and the weather’s slowly started dealing us a cold season card. You need to come up with creative ways of caring for your skin and body on cold days, and apple rosemary infused tea happens to be one of those ways. This drink doesn’t probably sound as good as it tastes, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating my dear reader.
For your cup of apple rosemary infused tea you will need the following;
-1 tbsp. honey
-1 tbsp. rosemary leaves
Pour already boiled water that is cool into a sufuria. Slice your apple into halves and cut thin sliced pieces of each half.
Place your water on boil and toss in your apple slices as well as rosemary leaves. Let the water boil for 3 minutes and switch off. Your water should sit for about 10 minutes so that the ingredients combine well. Add your tablespoon of honey and adjust to taste. Enjoy your beverage hot, let it cool to room temperature or transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate for 30 minutes and enjoy with fresh apple slices.
Wow. Never had I imagined that boiled apple could taste so good! Apple rosemary infused tea is definitely something I’m going to be sipping as often as I can.
I used Tropical Heat Rosemary Leaves that retail at around Ksh 60 and Kitui Natural Honey that retails at around Ksh 300. Kitui Honey is very thick and it also crystallizes easily.
Health Benefits Of Ingredients Used
An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Literally. Apples are rich in antioxidants and flavonoids including Vitamin C and B. Phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples help in reducing the risk of cancer, diabetes, hypertension, as well as other lifestyle diseases.
Rosemary regulates blood pressure, stimulates circulation and has relaxing powers.
